Yahoo Sports’ Draft Live crew reacts to the Los Angeles Clippers’ selection of Penn State forward Yanic Konan Niederhauser with the 30th pick in the 2025 NBA Draft.

The 30th pick.

In the draft, it’s been a fun night, guys.

Niederhauser.

That is.

From Penn State, the center, is that a big swing?

It is a swing he’s a junior.

In my draft, God, I compare Conan to a Clippers, uh, favorite over the years, DeAndre Jordan.

DeAndre Jordan elite elite lob threat paint protector and with Conan Niederhauser at, at a minimum that’s what you’re hoping for a guy who catches lobs, a guy who protects the rim, but the reason why he’s risen throughout this process to become a guy that tested the water.

Waters and then into the league isn’t just because of those foundational skills it’s the flashes of something more and with him he does some stuff, man, dribble drives from the perimeter, little bit of back to the basket where he’s kind of a late bloomer where maybe there’s more to him than just being this typical rim running lob threat center and for the Clippers I think he makes a lot of sense as a backup behind Zubats and a back.

that provides a completely different look than what Zubots does.

I’m not gonna lie to you.

I, I like that comparison because Nedenhauser had a dunk, guard came off the pick and roll, hit him in the short roll right there.

All of a sudden Nedenhauser rises up.

I’m talking about rises up, throw dude right there.

I don’t know if he’s trying to take a charge.

I don’t know what my man was thinking, right?

All of a sudden man looked up and Neonhauser was in the air.

This dude threw it in so hard and he got.

Up on that and that was Barry DeAndre Oran, DeAndre Jordanes right once again that that feels better for me.

That is not doing as much work as Clayton Steph Curry.

I said that.

There you go, yeah, it looked like.

It looked like DeAndre Jordan right there because the ability to be able to have that quick pop, that quick twitch to rise.

Up over defenders, so I really do like, I mean, he shot 60% of the rim.

He is an elite level live threat.

I think he’s a solid rim protector, not great as far as a perimeter defender to be able to switch, but I do think he can grow and be a really, really good big in the NBA.

He’s gonna improve his fundamentals.

It’s gonna get better at all the little things on the floor, passing, decision making, but playing next to a beata zoo box, playing behind him, be huge, not a, not a bad got a line.
